Ok, i am digging them, i think i will change this site in fact, i just have to make sure i have all the back end crap working..

Oh, this is gunna get me in trouble for sure.
I can’t believe this has sat in my drafts for so long. There are regifting parties, there are swaps, there are the regifts to people at weddings, big clue here folks… if you get a present that was NOT on your list of crap you wanted from stupid crate and barrel, it was a regift.

So, i look out my office window.  Thousands of trees have been yacked to make room for more lanes on one of the worst roads ever, I 495, aka The Beltway that circles Washington, DC.  All the cloverleafs around route 7 and the beltway have been completely removed and now there are large empty spaces where the trees use to be.  Now i am not some crazy treehugger, but the Hot lanes concept seems like a waste.

The hotlanes have some additional lanes with the ability to pay extra and therefore get in the less trafficy lanes and speed to your destination.  There is no way this is going to work, and it hurts the little guy.  The people that live in Springfield, Virginia and commute to Maryland or Tyson’s corner are not the people that can afford the extra costs.  This is a stupid idea.  Bail on the stupid hotlane thing and figure out an equitable solution to the little guy and the rich folks.

Well folks… the old washer and dryer are getting long in the tooth.  Whirlpool?  LG?  Electrolux? Sears? Who knows anything about these and so forth…

We have a daily load with the two kids, plus you get the random smelly tennis and golf clothes in there from both me and the wife.  Kids have poo stained clothes now and then, plus their usual applesauce covered overalls, onesies, etc…

Well folks, 8 days in the dominican republic and all i can conclude is:

• Food sucks at resorts, but a good restaurant line in Santo Domingo
• Roads suck - no doubt about that
• Service sucks - yeah, especially at resorts…

Not a lot of praise going on, tell me i’m wrong…   Two locations, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, but only a resort in Punta… Basically, you could die stepping off a curb, as there were massive holes in the roads.  Seems like a poor country and thus, that is what you get…  But other poor countries seem to have better infrastructure, but i guess it is the hurricanes that wipe out the place regularly…

Oh well, enough ranting… back to the meds

There are 3 big name financial advisors that seem to make the news in the DC market, whether it is on radio or tv, or what have you. They are Ric Edelman, Dave Ramsey and Suzie Orman.
